Amarone della Valpolicella Classico wines are red Amarone wines from the traditional Classico zone of Valpolicella in Veneto(the original area of Amarone production, which was later expanded).

Made in the Amarone della Valpolicella style, with mainly Corvina grapes and Rondinella and Molinara grapes for blending, the grapes are dried in order to concentrate their sugars and flavor, resulting in a richly layered, sumptuous wine.

Situated in the northwest of the city of Verona, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is considered the top producer of Amarone. These wines are the finest examples of quality Amarone, with decadent flavors of dark fruits, coffee, and chocolate; and are considered among the top wines of Italy.
